I have created a poster of Peter Parker's emotional state during Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Peter goes through a major change during the movie. He is under the pressure of keeping New York safe and adapting to living in the Big Apple alone for the first time in his life. Major physical villains he encounters are as follows: the Hand crime family of ninjas and a foe from his first film, the Scorpion. Peter goes through a spider-like metamorphosis as he has become focused on being Spider-Man for the last four years, ever since the spell that made everyone who knew Peter Parker forget him. During the film, this metamorphosis causes him to gain organic webs. The overarching villain in this story is grief and learning to trust again.
Here are some notes about what the poster means:
♦️ Seeing only one of MJ's and Ned's eyes symbolizes half-familiarity with Peter Parker because they only remember the now with him and not the last three films' events.
🔹️ I have the scene with Peter and Aunt May in the left eye of the mask, with Peter's webbing keeping Aunt May's memory alive.
♦️ The purple hues surrounding Peter represent the changing times in Peter's life of dealing with life's biggest problems (plus, red and blue make purple, so it fits well lol).
🔹️ The webbing has caught all the main players in the film, left to right: Hulk, Ned, MJ, Scorpion, Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Aunt May, the Punisher, and Jean Grey.
