I designed a series of promotional posters inspired by the Wachowskis' film, Speed Racer. Two of these pieces aim to capture the exhilaration of a hard-fought victory. The first features a cheering crowd chanting Speed's name, while the second highlights the iconic 'M' from the Mach 5. Additionally, I recreated the signature pose Speed strikes when leaping from his car, honoring both the original animated series and the live-action adaptation. Visually, the Racer X and Speed Racer posters are modeled after the commercial retail style of Trends International posters. Thematically, the project highlights Speed's journey as his exceptional driving skills are tested against the true villain of the narrative: the corruption and greed of the racing elites. With Racer X sharing the track, Speed is well-equipped to navigate a treacherous race filled with threats to his family and his life.
